Terence Milstead is a human-AI systems architect and behavioral insights researcher who helps organizations implement generative AI in practical, strategic ways that are aligned with actual work processes — not just what vendors and analysts say should be happening.
His work focuses on helping leaders translate AI from abstract hype into real capability, better decisions, and measurable value. Drawing on experience spanning research, strategic communications, and consulting across both public and private sectors, Terence brings a disciplined, evidence-based lens to every engagement.
Second Mind Consulting grew out of a specific frustration: watching organizations invest seriously in AI — the tools, the licenses, the announcements — and then struggle to connect any of it to how work actually gets done. The gap was rarely about the technology. It was about the absence of a disciplined system for translating AI capability into workflow-level value. With a career built at the intersection of behavioral research, strategic communications, and organizational consulting, Terence started Second Mind to build that bridge — not through generic training or vendor-driven frameworks, but through rigorous, behavior-led systems designed around how real teams operate under real conditions.
In addition to his consulting practice, Terence serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Undergraduate Communications Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
